What were the main problems faced in managing the Green Haven Hostel?

Green Haven Hostel, one of the most awarded hostels in Brazil, was initially managed in an amateurish way and faced difficulties in managing and controlling reservations, even after receiving recognition for its services.


The team was using outdated methods, such as Google Calendar, to manage its operations. "When we won our first Hostelworld awards, as the best hostel in Latin America (2015), we were still using Google Calendar to manage the beds," says Vinícius.


This limited approach not only hindered the efficient management of the hostel, but also represented an obstacle to growth and maximizing revenue potential.

In addition to managing accommodations, which include shared rooms, private rooms, and even tents, Green Haven also uses a product sales platform to manage the numerous parties that have made the hostel famous, considered the most party-oriented in Ubatuba.


The activity generated by the events, which can bring together up to 250 people on some of the main dates of the year, is so important that it already accounts for 50% of the business's revenue. "Everything is managed with HQBeds' POS system," Vinícius points out.
